Eating Plan

Being a member of the Hot Feet Community is an asset to your life and those around you. We also want to ensure that you are achieving the real results you want in your physical condition and mental state. With that in mind, we know that attending class several times a week is only part of the success factor. We estimate that as much as 80% of your success is defined by what you do outside of class versus how hard or how often you attend class. When you combine a healthy diet and lifestyle with a good workout, you will then rejoice in seeing the results that you want and that we want for you. Use these diet and lifestyle guidelines for reference to maximize your results.

Stage 1

Stage 1

Choose life! Eat as much raw, fresh, organic produce as you possibly can. Reorient your thinking to see plants as the foundation of your diet for optimal physical health and shape. Sleep well, feel well and wrangle your physical body into the best shape by enjoying a primarily plant-based diet. If you are far from this then start with small steps in this direction and continue the journey year after year as you get closer and enjoy even more results. Never lose sight of this timeless goal.

Stage 2

Stage 2

Find a new normal. Redefine what nourishment means to you. Question eating just because it is "time" to eat. Challenge the size of your plate. Mix up what you eat and when you eat it. Consider replacing a heavy meal with freshly juiced fruits and vegetables or a fresh fruit smoothie. Emphasize greens. Skip dinner and see how much better you sleep and how refreshed you wake. Your new normal may not align with the culture around you so plan to lead your community.

Stage 3

Stage 3

Avoid the killers. When you adopt a plant-based diet, you will automatically be avoiding many packed, processed and refined foods. Know however that there are some serious food killers in our culture that must be eliminated if you want to avoid the common diseases (dis-eases) that steal our joy. The common cold is actually more difficult to avoid than serious stuff like cancer, heart disease, diabetes and other major issues. Even with a great diet that is primarily plant-based, you will still experience minor cold and flu symptoms but you statistically decrease the likelihood of getting one of these major diseases. Research has shown the biggest contributor to physical ailment is protein from an animal source including dairy. Seafood does not result in the same issues as meat and dairy.

Stage 4

Stage 4

Question the package. Become a food label reader. Use one of the many apps available to learn what is really in your food. Learn to avoid labels filled with ingredients that you cannot enunciate. Question why you and the culture around you blindly shovels these manufactured products labeled as food into our beautiful bodies. Lead through your experiences and education.

Stage 5

Stage 5

Never stop learning. Each year that passes is an opportunity to improve or decline in your habits, knowledge and execution. When you continue to expand your education, it is most likely that you will continue to improve the results for yourself in terms of questioning your habits and decisions. In so doing, you will lead yourself and those close to you into a truer and more fulfilling existence that more closely resembles our intended existence. Learn, change, lead, enjoy!
